Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before checking out. You will then be transferred to Johannesburg Airport to board your onward flight. Upon arrival at George Airport (airfare not included), collect your luggage and proceed to the arrival area, where an English-speaking representative from Calculus Africa will welcome you and guide you to your vehicle. Begin your scenic private transfer to Knysna, a picturesque coastal town located roughly one hour from George. Knysna is set along a stunning lagoon that forms part of a protected marine reserve, home to over 200 fish species and the rare Knysna seahorse. No trip here is complete without visiting the famous Knysna Heads—two dramatic, multicoloured cliffs guarding the entrance to the lagoon. Located in the Klein Karoo region, Oudtshoorn enjoys bright skies year-round, with warm summers and mild, dry winters. The region is world-famous for its large ostrich population, supported by several specialized breeding farms, including the notable Safari Show Farm. The drive from Knysna or George to Oudtshoorn takes approximately one hour. Your first stop is the magnificent Cango Caves, one of the Klein Karoo’s oldest and most celebrated attractions. Considered a natural wonder, the caves offer impressive underground chambers and fascinating limestone formations, accessible through guided walking tours. Continue to the Safari Ostrich Farm, a fully operational ostrich farm offering South Africa’s only tractor-driven tour. Here, you’ll learn about these remarkable birds, their behavior, and their significance to the region—all through an engaging and interactive experience. The farm is located just 6 km from central Oudtshoorn. Your final visit of the day is to the Cango Wildlife Ranch, an established conservation facility home to more than 90 species. After breakfast, embark on a half-day guided tour covering: Table Mountain (weather permitting) Table Mountain has become the single most welcoming icon to not only our people, but travellers from all over the world. It is also the country’s most photographed attraction and its famous cable car took millions of people to its top. Take the cable car to the top of Table Mountain for a panoramic view of the city and coastline. Must-do! --- Helicopter Ride (10 mins) (Price not included) Take a 10min trip that takes to the open skies – it’s a memory worth making. This budget friendly helicopter flip is one of the most popular experiences in Cape Town. Half Day City Tour The fine old buildings of the Cape Town represent a journey through the centuries. The Castle of Good Hope is the oldest surviving colonial building in South Africa. A short distance from the Castle, across from the Grand Parade, you can see the City Hall, a mock baroque building constructed in 1905. As we follow the city’s main road, Adderley Street, we will see St. George’s Cathedral, the Anglican Diocese of Nobel Peace Laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Keep your eyes out for the Company Gardens, a welcome green oasis in the middle of the city. Continue through the historic Malay Quarter, past the South African Museum and other interesting sights. Towards the end of the morning a visit is made at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. This is South Africa’s most talked about tourist venue with many shops and restaurants. After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, set out for a full-day exploration of Cape Point and the Cape Peninsula. As you travel along this spectacular coastal route, soak in the stunning panoramas of Clifton and Camps Bay, known for their powdery white beaches and the majestic Twelve Apostles Mountain range rising dramatically over the Atlantic Ocean. Make your way to Mariner’s Wharf for a delightful boat trip to Seal Island, where you can watch playful seals in their natural habitat. The journey continues via the iconic Chapman’s Peak Drive, offering some of the most scenic viewpoints and photo stops in South Africa, before reaching the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Your tour then takes you to Simon’s Town, home to the charming Boulders Beach Penguin Colony, where you can observe the African penguins up close. Next, board the Flying Dutchman funicular to the historic Cape Point Lighthouse—the tip of the peninsula—where sweeping vistas of rugged cliffs, rich fynbos vegetation, secluded bays, and rolling green landscapes await.
